Where is Camp Crescent Cove?

Camp Crescent Cove is located in the beautiful Sebago Lake region of Southern Maine, approximately 30 minutes northwest of Portland, Maine and about 2¼ hours north of Boston, Massachusetts.

Our campus sits on more than 80 acres of tall pine trees, open green fields, and the shores of Crescent Lake. With stunning lake views and unforgettable sunsets, it’s a pretty magical place to spend a summer.

The climate is typically warm during the day with cooler evenings, which are perfect for outdoor activities and campfires.

How can I get to Camp Crescent Cove?

If you are flying to camp, you can arrive at either:

• Portland, Maine (PWM) – about 30 minutes from camp

• Boston Logan Airport (BOS) – about 2½ hours from camp

Boston often has more flight options and may be more affordable depending on where you are traveling from. Once you arrive in Boston, you can take a bus to Portland, Maine, where a camp staff member will meet you

How do I prepare for camp?

Once you are confirmed to join our team for the summer, you will receive a packing list and transportation questionnaire to help you prepare for the season.

We’ll guide you through everything you need to know before arriving.

Where do Counselors live?

Counselors live in cabins with campers. Our cabins are bright, comfortable, and modern, with:

• Showers

• Toilets and sinks

• Hot water

• Electricity

• Screened windows and doors

Most cabins have twin-size wooden bunk beds, along with closets and cubbies so you can unpack and settle in for the summer.

What are the facilities like?

Camp Crescent Cove sits on the shores of the crystal-clear waters of Crescent Lake, which has a sandy bottom and is ideal for swimmers of all levels.

Our campus includes:

• Athletic fields and courts

• Creative arts spaces

• Waterfront facilities

• Multiple indoor buildings for rainy days

Many of our buildings feature beautiful knotty pine walls and plenty of space for activities to continue even when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Will I have internet and phone access?

Wireless internet is available in select staff areas of camp.

To help campers fully unplug and enjoy the camp experience, phones are not permitted in camper cabins.

How will I do my laundry?

Laundry service is provided once per week.

You should plan to bring enough clothing to last about 10 days between washes.

What are the duties of a Camp Crescent Cove Counselor?

All counselors help lead activities in their specialty areas, but flexibility is key — no two days at camp are exactly the same.

Counselors might find themselves:

• Teaching activities in their program area

• Supporting bunk life and camper development

• Helping run special events and traditions

• Preparing and participating in evening programs and camp-wide activities

How is the food?

All of our meals are prepared and baked fresh at camp by our experienced kitchen team.

Meals are served buffet-style, and typically include:

• A breakfast bar and hot breakfast options

• A full salad bar

• Main entrée options

We are happy to accommodate dietary needs with advance notice.

Time off

Counselors receive one full day off each week (except during the first and last week of camp).

Staff also typically receive two evenings off per week, with a return time of 12:00 AM.

On time off, many staff members explore nearby destinations like Maine’s beaches, hiking areas, or nearby towns.

Will there be transportation provided on days/nights off?

Yes. Transportation is provided for staff members who do not have vehicles at camp.

This allows you to explore local towns, beaches, hiking areas, and other destinations around Maine during your time off.

Does Crescent Cove offer internship credit?

Yes. We are happy to work with your college or university to arrange internship or academic credit for your time working at Camp Crescent Cove.

What are the personal policies I need to know?

We do not have a formal uniform, although staff members will receive Camp Crescent Cove team shirts that may be worn on certain days.

Our Team should wear clothing that is appropriate for their activity area and maintain a neat and professional appearance.

How is salary determined?

Camp Crescent Cove offers competitive salaries within the camp industry.

In addition to salary, staff members receive:
